Role Overview

We're hiring a Legal Counsel to provide expert legal guidance across corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters. This is a great opportunity for a proactive and commercially minded lawyer who thrives in dynamic environments—especially those with experience advising fast-paced, high-growth companies across Australia, the UK, or the US.

You'll play a key role in contract drafting and negotiation, corporate governance, international structuring, and supporting strategic business decisions across multiple jurisdictions.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide legal advice on commercial contracts, corporate governance, employment law, and regulatory compliance
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements (supplier, partnership, IP, confidentiality, etc.)
  • Support cross-border structuring and transactions, especially in Australia, the UK, and the US
  • Prepare board and shareholder documentation and manage company secretarial tasks and filings
  • Advise on M&A, investments, joint ventures, and other strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal teams to assess legal risks and ensure compliance
  • Liaise with external counsel on jurisdiction-specific or specialist matters
  • Monitor and interpret relevant legal developments and regulations
  • Support HR-related legal queries across various jurisdictions
  • Help improve internal legal processes, templates, and tools

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD); admitted to practice in Australia, the UK, or the US
  • 3–7 years of post-qualification experience, ideally from a mix of top-tier firm and in-house roles
  • Solid foundation in corporate and commercial law
  • Experience with cross-border legal matters
  • Ability to balance legal risks with business realities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Comfortable working across time zones in a remote setup
  • Self-starter who can work independently and collaborate effectively

Preferred But Not Required

  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory frameworks in Australia, the UK, or the US
  • Experience with IP, data privacy, capital raises, or international operations
  • Background in purpose-driven or sustainability-focused businesses
  • Hands-on, practical approach to legal support in fast-moving settings
