Housekeeping Supervisor:

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily cleaning and maintenance activities of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, order, and guest satisfaction. The role involves inspection, staff supervision, inventory control, and assistance in training and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure all assigned areas are clean, orderly, and well maintained.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces for cleanliness and maintenance issues.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, safety procedures, and hygiene regulations.
• Monitor and maintain housekeeping supplies, linen, and equipment inventories.
• Prepare daily work assignments and schedules for housekeeping staff.
• Conduct regular briefings and training sessions to maintain service quality and staff efficiency.
• Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate with the Front Office and Maintenance departments regarding room status and repair needs.
• Assist in evaluating employee performance and recommend disciplinary or commendatory actions when necessary.
• Report lost and found items according to company policy.
• Ensure energy conservation and sustainability practices are observed by the team.

Qualifications

• At least 2–3 years of experience in housekeeping, with 1 year in a supervisory role (preferably in a hotel or similar establishment).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Keen eye for detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
• Flexible schedule; must be willing to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent (a degree or certificate in hospitality management is an advantage).
• Willing to be assigned in Calatagan, Batangas
