Job Summary:
The Parts Runner is responsible for efficiently transporting automotive parts, tools, and supplies between the dealership, service department, vendors, and other locations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the timely flow of parts to technicians and departments, contributing to smooth service operations and excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities:
  • Pick up and deliver automotive parts and supplies to and from vendors, warehouses, and dealership departments.
  • Ensure accuracy in delivering the correct parts to the correct locations.
  • Assist in stocking and organizing the parts inventory.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the parts department and delivery vehicles.
  • Perform basic inspections of delivery vehicles (e.g., checking fuel, oil, tire pressure).
  • Help parts staff with tasks such as unpacking shipments, labeling parts, and restocking shelves.
  • Handle delivery documentation accurately and return signed invoices or receipts to the appropriate staff.
  • Communicate with service technicians and parts staff to understand urgent needs or part backorders.
  • Follow all dealership and safety policies, including traffic laws during driving duties.
Qualifications:
  • College graduate or vocational course graduate.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Previous experience in an automotive or parts-related environment is a plus but not required.
Working Conditions:
  • Frequently driving and walking.
  • Exposure to indoor and outdoor environments.

May occasionally need to work in varying weather conditions.
