Operations Superintendent

Purpose of the Position:

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Operations Superintendent is accountable and responsible for overseeing the development and production operation of the quarry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Exercise managerial control over the quarry activities such as waste stripping, loading and hauling of basalt rocks, drill site preparation, drilling, blasting, bench, road and dump maintenance, secondary breaking, use of equipment, and manpower resources to attain effective implementation of the project requirements.
• Recommend operators and drivers for disciplinary action for violating the rules and regulations of the company.
• Accountable and responsible for the implementation of the safety, health, and environmental company policies.
• Regularly coordinate with the client's representative on the work plans, schedules, production, and development slices.
• Prepare the goals and budget of the project and implement cost control.
• Responsible for all actions done by Quarry Supervisors during the course of performing their individual duties and in the implementation of functions and programs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• Must be a licensed Mining Engineer.
• With at least 3-5 years experience in supervisory position in opencast mining/quarrying operations.
• Knowledge management of heavy equipment operations is an advantage.
• High level of interpersonal skills and integrity;
• Creative, forward thinker.
• Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets
• Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
• Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
• A reliable professional who follows organization and department procedures and completes tasks in a timely manner.
• Willing to work in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato.
