Reefer Technician

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Reefer Technician to join our team at Gothong Southern Shipping Lines, Inc.' in Manila City. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of refrigerated containers and equipment. Your expertise in air conditioning and refrigeration will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping operations.

What you'll be doing

1. Performing scheduled maintenance and inspections of reefer containers and units
2. Diagnosing and repairing issues with reefer equipment, including compressors, motors, and control systems
3. Monitoring the performance of reefer units and implementing preventive maintenance measures
4. Documenting all maintenance activities and equipment repairs
5. Collaborating with the operations team to ensure efficient handling and monitoring of reefer cargo
6. Providing training and guidance to other technicians on reefer maintenance best practices

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a reefer technician or in a similar role within the air conditioning and refrigeration industry
2. Technical knowledge and hands-on expertise in the maintenance and repair of reefer containers and units
3. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to quickly identify and resolve issues
4. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and specifications
5. Excellent communication skills to liaise with the operations team and coordinate maintenance activities
6. Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adhere to safety protocols
