Job Summary:

This position is responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance of Camillus Medhaven vehicles, provide care to patients as part of medical system ; timely delivery and collection of written documents; the procurement process for all departments and safe delivery of staff to their respective destinations according to the rules, policies, and guidelines of Camillus Medhaven.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. To provide a professional and caring service for all patients while in the care of Medical Services

  2. To ensure that at all times patient safety remains paramount and that safe systems of work are adhered to regarding wheelchairs, clamps, seat belts etc.

  3. Complete a vehicle check before every duty including the working order of the vehicle

  4. Accept emergency calls day and night and drive the ambulance from the Institution up to the location if necessary.

  5. Report defects and deficiencies of the vehicle and equipment, and replace all items of vehicle inventory used

  6. In-charge in driving transactions of the institution, marketing, banking, C.I. and pick-up new patient.

  7. Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed according to current policies and procedures

  8. Report facts concerning accidents involving vehicles of the Institution.

  9. Report any vehicle damage.

  10. Observes speed limit while driving.

  11. If there is no scheduled check-up/laboratory schedule, he must be willing to perform

  12. Tasks that may assign to him to maximize use of personnel and lessen idle time.
