What does a Cybersecurity Analyst – Network do?

Sealed Air Shared Service (Philippines) Inc. is looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst – Network to join our IT Security team. The Network Security Analyst is responsible for safeguarding the organization's network infrastructure by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security threats. This role emphasizes network security analytics, incident handling, and policy development, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.

• Participate in network security assessments to identify and mitigate risks within SEE's network environments.
• Implement and manage network security controls to ensure data protection and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Assist in the development and enforcement of network security policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure deployment and configuration of network devices.
• Monitor network environments for security events and respond to incidents promptly.
• Conduct threat hunting and vulnerability management specifically for network platforms.
• Perform detailed forensic analysis of network incidents to understand breaches and their impacts.
• Assist in the coordination and execution of the incident response process, ensuring effective actions across the Security Operations Center (SOC) team.
• Provide input on network security architecture and design to enhance the organization's overall security posture.
• Stay informed about emerging network security threats and trends, leveraging external expertise and threat intelligence.
• Assist with the refinement of security policies, procedures, and playbooks to standardize incident response and security operations.
• Provide strategic insights and regular reports to senior management on network security performance, emerging threats, and security trends.

• Network Security: Network security architecture, risk assessment, security controls, compliance.
• Advanced Threat Detection: Threat hunting, intrusion detection, SIEM tools.
• Incident Response: Forensic analysis, root cause investigation, incident management.
• Security Architecture: Security design, risk assessment, architectural review.
• Policy Development: Security policies, playbook creation, procedural refinement.
• Vendor Collaboration: Threat intelligence, vendor management, external partnerships.
• SOC Optimization: Process improvement, tool evaluation, operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business, or a related field
• 5 years of work experience minimum, 2 to 4 years of specialty experience minimum
• Strong verbal and written communications; ability to analyze large volumes of information and define "the big picture".
• Strong analytical abilities. Ability to focus and provide context to every recommendation.
• Strong documentation skills.
• Experience in working with internal and external, local and global team members to deliver results.
• Work effectively with remote teams across multiple time zones.
