We are a Philippine-based digital agency building and managing Shopify and CMS websites for SME clients locally and overseas. We focus on fast-loading, conversion-driven websites and reliable long-term maintenance.

Role Summary

The Junior Shopify / CMS Developer supports the delivery of Shopify and CMS projects through implementation, bug fixing, theme edits, and page builds. You'll work closely with senior developers, designers, and project managers to ship updates quickly and maintain quality.

This role is best for someone with strong fundamentals who wants structured exposure to real client builds in an agency setup.

Key Responsibilities

Shopify Support (Primary)

  • Implement updates on Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
  • Build new pages/sections based on Figma designs and existing theme patterns
  • Configure Shopify theme settings, navigation, collections, product templates, and basic metafields
  • Install and configure Shopify apps with guidance; troubleshoot app-theme conflicts
  • Help optimize responsiveness and storefront speed (Lighthouse basics)

CMS Support (Secondary)

  • Maintain CMS sites (commonly WordPress; others may apply)
  • Edit templates, page layouts, and reusable blocks/components
  • Perform basic content updates and landing page creation (SEO-ready formatting)
  • Ensure updates follow security and performance best practices

QA & Delivery

  • Fix frontend bugs and layout issues across mobile/tablet/desktop
  • Conduct basic QA testing before handoff (browser checks, responsive checks)
  • Follow internal ticket processes and provide daily progress updates

Collaboration

  • Work with designers and PMs to clarify requirements
  • Escalate technical blockers early to senior developers
  • Document updates and changes made for smoother client support

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 0–2 years professional experience (or strong internship / portfolio projects)
  • Working knowledge of:
  • HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript fundamentals
  • Basic Git workflow (commit/pull requests)
  • Familiarity with Shopify (Admin + theme structure); Liquid experience is a plus
  • Comfortable working with templates, layouts, and reusable components
  • Strong attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to accept feedback

Nice-to-Have (Preferred)

  • Prior Shopify theme editing (Liquid sections / OS 2.0 sections)
  • WordPress experience (Elementor/Gutenberg/ACF)
  • Basic SEO awareness (metadata, heading structure, alt text, page speed)
  • Familiarity with Figma and design-to-dev workflow

Success Metrics (Junior-Appropriate)

  • Speed and accuracy of implementing edits
  • Number of issues resolved independently vs. escalated

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php22, Php25,000.00 per month
