About the role

The Internal Auditor is responsible for evaluation and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes across the ATN Group of Companies. This role ensures that financial, operational and compliance-related activities are conducted in accordance with internal policies, regulatory standards and industry best practices. The Internal Auditor provides independent, objective assurance and advisory services to support the organization's strategic goals and operational integrity.

What you'll be doing

Audit Planning and Execution:

  • Develops a comprehensive annual audit plan based on risk assessments and strategic priorities.

Risk Assessment and Internal Controls:

  • Identifies and evaluates risks related to financial reporting, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance and fraud.

Financial and Operational Audits:

  • Reviews financial transactions, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting processes for accuracy and compliance.

Compliance and Regulatory Audits

  • Verifies compliance with local and international regulations including BIR, PEZA, Customs, DOLE, and ISO standards.

Reporting and Recommendations

  • Prepares detailed audit reports summarizing findings, risks implications and recommendations for improvement.

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field
  • Certification in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or other relevant standards
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in internal auditing, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or transportation industries
  • With experience in QMS implementation and regulatory compliance frameworks

COMPETENCIES

  • With deep understanding of internal audit frameworks, risk-based auditing and control evaluation techniques.
  • Familiarity with government regulations affecting logistics operations (e.g., BIR, PEZA, BOC, DOLE, SEC)

  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as Logisys and Cargowise.

  • Possesses analytical skills to evaluate complex data sets, identify trends and draw meaningful conclusions

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and audit software
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of integrity
