Aon is currently recruiting a Chief Broking Officer to join our Commercial Risk Solutions team in Makati, Philippines

The Opportunity

Lead and manage the company's overall broking process with the overall aim to leverage Aon position with markets used and ensuring we get the best deal for the clients. All activities to be aligned with the regional and global broking excellence strategy to secure a company-wide effort in achieving regional goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and agree the business plan and budget to support Aon Philippines' broking excellence strategy and drive performance to deliver the agreed outcomes.
  • Partner with Aon resources including Specialty areas, Commercial Risk, and Global Broking Centers to deliver plan and budget.
  • Support Asia Regional CBO on Broking Levers and best practices, attend broking leadership meetings when necessary.
  • Lead the implementation of specific broking excellence initiatives including Pricing & Profitability; SPS; Wording/Slip standardization; and Broking operations process flow.
  • Assure seamless coordination and compliance with Aon Broking strategies and workflows.
  • Lead the placement of select Major/Large/Key accounts (new and renewal)
  • Manage/update monthly Broking analytics.
  • Serve as a primary interface and facilitator for market relations.
  • Facilitate communications with local/in-country broking resources.
  • Ensure knowledge and best practice sharing and training is made available to all applicable resources.
  • Responsibility to ensure that all broking services and solutions follow MAS regulations and Aon Company Policy and Guidelines
  • Maintain close contact with country leadership in respect of the implementation of regional and country's broking strategies.
  • Build and sustain good client relationships, where necessary.
  • Develop and maintain a network of insurers in both local and international brokerage markets.
  • Actively participate in development of renewal strategy for country's largest clients and all major placements to identify opportunities for Aon to provide additional value.
  • Provide oversight and leadership to P&C broking teams in responding to tenders and consistency of pricing structures and usage of insurance markets.
  • Interface with department heads to ensure alignment of broking activities with country strategy.
  • Understand carrier risk appetite across lines of business, customer segments, and premium ranges.
  • Provide executive sponsorship to account teams to address major client issues with individual carriers.

  • Leverages on the strengths of the team, talent development, and address the gaps in proficiency.

  • Assist teammates not only with their accounts but also with their careers, helping them grow personally and professionally.

  • Manages the performance of the team and ensures all goals are achieved.
  • Ensures that service agreements are met and delivered to clients effectively and efficiently.
  • Provides structure and direction to facilitate the completion of team objectives.
  • Supports team to establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for their client service teams.
