Purpose or scope of the position:

Works alongside Executive Chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking. Provides meal quality and consistency by following designated recipes.

Main Responsibilities:

·Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus

·Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise

·Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards

·Fill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary

·Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation

·Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff's performance

·Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately

·Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards

·Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Qualifications:

·Degree in Culinary/ Culinary diploma or any equivalent

·With relevant experience as a Sous Chef

·Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures

·Ability to effectively manage the kitchen staffs

· Familiarity with the best practices in the hotel and catering services industry

· Knowledge of health and safety standards

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Point of Sale and restaurant management software

· Ability to multitask and work quickly under pressure

· Advanced verbal and written communication skills

Attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php20, Php25,000.00 per month
