About the Role

We are hiring a
Mainframe CICS Administrator / System Programmer (L3)
with strong hands-on expertise in CICS administration, RACF security, SMP/E installations, diagnostics, and vendor coordination. You will support, maintain, and optimize CICS environments across multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform full lifecycle
    CICS administration
    in a complex MRO environment (TOR/AOR).
  • Conduct
    SMP/E installations
    for CICS and related vendor products.
  • Manage
    RACF security
    for CICS resources and install required security configurations.
  • Gather and analyze
    SMF (CICS 110) data
    for reporting and performance insights.
  • Lead
    problem determination
    : traces, system dumps, transaction dumps, root-cause analysis, vendor liaison.
  • Configure and maintain CICS
    RDO resources
    (transactions, programs, files, TDQs, LSR groups).
  • Support and administer
    web services within CICS
    .
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot tools including:
  • Tivoli/Omegamon
  • Intertest / Symdump
  • SDS–CAFC
  • Trillium, Code1
  • File-Aid
  • Splunk (dashboards & reporting on CICS metrics)
  • Produce and interpret
    CICS shutdown statistics
    and storage analysis for tuning and capacity planning.
  • Assist operators and developers with debugging, monitoring, and application support tools.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 10+ years
    of hands-on Mainframe CICS administration experience.
  • Deep expertise with
    SMP/E
    ,
    RACF
    ,
    CICS MRO
    ,
    RDO
    , and
    CICS dynamic storage areas
    .
  • Strong
    problem determination
    skills (traces, dumps, GTF, IPCS).
  • Experience installing and supporting CICS-related vendor tools (Intertest, Symdump, SDS-CAFC, Omegamon, etc.).
  • Ability to create, analyze, and manipulate
    SMF CICS 110 records
    .
  • Proficiency with
    Splunk dashboards
    for CICS performance metrics.
