Forklift Operator

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift (counter-balance, reach truck, or similar) to move materials, goods, and products safely and efficiently within the warehouse, loading dock, production floor or storage area.
• Unload inbound shipments, place items in correct storage locations ("put-away"), and prepare goods for outbound shipments.
• Check items received against packing lists or purchase orders, and report any discrepancies, damage, or shortages.
• Perform daily inspections of the forklift and related material‐handling equipment, ensure proper maintenance and safe operating condition, and report any defects or issues.
• Organize, stack, and secure loads correctly, ensure clear work-area and maintain warehouse housekeeping standards (clean, orderly environment).
• Follow all safety standards, warehouse operating procedures (SOPs), and help maintain a safe working environment for self and others.
• Assist in inventory counts, cycle counts, and other warehouse support tasks as required.
• Receive instructions from supervisors/warehouse managers and carry out assigned duties reliably.

Qualifications / Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational or short‐course certificate (e.g., in forklift operation or material handling) preferably held.
• Valid forklift operator certificate/license (e.g., NC II in Forklift / Reach Truck certification) is a strong advantage.
• Minimum experience: typically at least 6 months to 1 year of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse, manufacturing or logistics setting.
• Good physical condition: able to lift/handle heavy items, operate in a fast-paced environment, stand/walk for long periods.
• Strong attention to safety, ability to work with minimal supervision but also part of a team. Good communication skills.
• Valid Professional Driver's License with restriction codes (between R2 to R6 or B to C ).
• Willingness to work different shifts.
