Job Purpose

Prepare and maintain quarry and mining plans, drilling/sampling and grade control programs. Monitor drilling and sampling operations and provide administrative and technical support to the department to ensure compliance with operational and regulatory requirements, as well as the availability of accurate data needed for efficient quarry operations.

Main Accountabilities

Operations Planning

- Prepare and monitor quarry mining plans, grade control program, quarry sampling and drilling plans.

- Responsible for the survey of quarry excavation advances, drilling layout, staking of digging limits and location of lot boundaries.

- Conduct volumetric surveys of stockpiles in the plant and quarry areas to determine material quantities and generate corresponding survey reports and results as needed.

- Assign and monitor daily tasks of drilling and surveying personnel to ensure efficient execution of quarry plans, proper use of resources, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

- Check quarry sample preparation and encode results of analysis to ensure that required quality and delivery targets are achieved.

Reports

- Consolidate and prepare all quarry statistics, production and environmental reports to ensure compliance with DENR-MGB and Integrated Management System (IMS) requirements.

Administrative Support

- Prepare, update, and maintain quarry maps and drawings required by the department for operational monitoring, documentation, and reporting purposes.

- Generate Purchase Requisitions (PRs), work orders and assist in budget preparation and CAPEX documentation.

- Participate in internal and external audits by the Company, DENR-MGB and other external auditors by providing necessary documentation and records.

Environment, Health & Safety

- Comply with corporate policies on environmental, health and safety to conform with government mandated policies.

- Maintain accident-free operations and achieve plant safety objectives.

- Participate in safety inspections, drills, and training programs to promote a safe and healthy work environment.

Job Qualifications

  • Must have a bachelor's degree in Geodetic, Civil or Mining Engineering (preferably with professional license)
  • Preferably has 2 years of experience in quarry or mining operations; but fresh graduates are open to apply
  • Knowledgeable in surveying and drafting techniques, including the use of surveying tools and equipment.
  • Good understanding of corporate and government policies, labor and benefit regulations and business performance principles.
  • Must have knowledge in Microsoft Office tools, SAP, SURPAC, AutoCAD and other software/tools related to mining and geology.
