API Developer

Work Setup: Onsite (Pasig City) | Schedule: Dayshift

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Overview:

We are looking for an API Developer who will build, maintain, and secure APIs that integrate backend systems with frontend applications. The role involves developing scalable code, creating microservices, and supporting end-to-end SDLC activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain REST/SOAP APIs and microservices.
  • Integrate backend systems with frontend applications.
  • Implement API security (Rate Limiting, JWT, OAuth, API Key).
  • Write clean, maintainable code and unit tests.
  • Support production issues as L3.
  • Create API documentation and perform knowledge transfer.
  • Work within Agile teams and CI/CD workflows.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in API development.
  • Hands-on experience with IBM API Connect Platform.

  • Strong skills in:

  • JavaScript / NodeJS / NestJS

  • REST & SOAP API development
  • SQL & NoSQL queries
  • Docker, GitLab, Postman, Linux CLI, JIRA
  • Strong debugging and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
Good to Have
  • Knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift on AWS and other AWS services.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerized workflows.
  • Ability to build microservices for custom API functions (e.g., encryption, DB connectivity).
