About the Role
As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dishes to our guests. You will work closely with our Head Chef and fellow kitchen staff to ensure that every meal meets our company's standards for taste, presentation, and consistency. This position requires someone who is not only knowledgeable in various cooking techniques but also adaptable and able to perform well under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Maintain consistency and quality in all food prepared, ensuring timely service during peak hours.
- Organize and set up workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment before each service.
- Ensure kitchen areas and equipment are always clean, sanitized, and properly maintained.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory, reporting shortages to the Head Chef.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Collaborate with other team members to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
- Adapt to special requests, dietary restrictions, or last-minute menu changes as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Line Cook, Commis, or similar role in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Solid understanding of cooking methods, food safety, and kitchen best practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality food.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
