The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) leads in the formulation and implementation of social welfare policies aimed at uplifting the lives of the poor, vulnerable, and disadvantaged sectors. We collaborate with local government units, NGOs, and civil society organizations to ensure effective delivery of social protection and development services across the nation.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our IT team in enhancing and developing digital solutions that support our mission. As a Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and integrated systems that streamline service delivery and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop full stack web applications and internal systems
  • Implement responsive front-end interfaces using ReactJS, Tailwind, Vue, or similar tools
  • Develop and maintain back-end services and REST APIs using , Python (Django/Flask), or frameworks like Laravel
  • Manage and optimize databases (MySQL or PostgreSQL) to ensure system reliability
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services with existing systems
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues as they arise
  • Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of applications
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain clean, readable, and well-documented code

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in full stack software development
  • Proficiency in REST API development
  • Hands-on experience with Python (Django/Flask) and Laravel (or similar PHP frameworks)
  • Strong knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL ReactJS, and/or
  • Solid understanding of application integration and deployment
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to writing high-quality code
  • Effective communication and team collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
