About the role

As the IT Supervisor at MINDPRO RETAIL INC. Affiliate of SM Retail', you will play a crucial role in overseeing the technology infrastructure and systems that power our retail operations. This full-time position is based in Zamboanga City, Zamboanga Del Sur, and will involve leading a team of IT professionals to ensure the seamless and efficient running of our technology solutions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Responsible for setting up and maintaining the network infrastructure, including servers, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi systems. Focus on ensuring reliability and security.
• Manage and maintain POS systems to ensure their proper functioning, security, and up-to-date status. Collaboration with vendors for support and updates.
• Provide assistance for hardware and software issues faced by staff. This involves troubleshooting, training, and ensuring smooth operations.
• Identify opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency through technological improvements or upgrades. Implementation of relevant technologies aligned with the retail business model.
• Collaborate with external vendors for IT-related services and ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
• Lead an IT team, assign tasks, provide guidance, and promote a cohesive working environment. Conduct training sessions to ensure staff proficiency in IT systems usage.
• Development and maintenance of disaster recovery plans to minimize system failures and ensure business continuity.
• Keeping up-to-date with the latest IT trends and innovations relevant to the retail industry. Evaluation of their potential for improving operations.
• Install, configure, and manage server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, etc.) and associated services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file servers.
• Creation, modification, and deactivation of user accounts. Management of permissions and ensuring secure access to resources.
• Plan and implement backup strategies to protect critical data. Regular performance of backups and testing of recovery procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or a relevant field.
• Proficient with configuring and troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers and network devices
• Proven experience in System Administration, including proficiency in management of server operating system (windows, Linux etc.) and associated servers such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and file servers
• Knowledgeable in networking fundamentals and security protocols
• Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and informed decision making, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong technical skills and expertise in managing enterprise-level IT systems, including hardware, software, and networking components
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Exposure to Retail and Financial industry process is a plus.
