Legal Assistant/Paralegal: Core Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Legal Assistant/Paralegal to become an integral part of our dynamic legal team. This role is essential for supporting our attorneys and ensuring the efficient operation of our practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Legal Research & Analysis: Conduct comprehensive legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law to develop strong case strategies and support legal arguments.
- Expert Document Drafting: Draft, revise, and finalize a wide range of critical legal documents, including pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, discovery requests/responses, and corporate contracts.
- Proactive Case & File Management: Establish and maintain highly organized client files, manage evidence, and track critical case documentation to ensure instant accessibility and compliance. Monitor case progress and track key deadlines.
- Professional Client & Third-Party Liaison: Facilitate clear and professional communication between clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and court personnel, always under the direct supervision of an attorney.
- Judicial Filing & Procedural Compliance: Manage the accurate and timely filing of all legal documents with courts and administrative agencies, ensuring strict adherence to all procedural rules and local requirements.
- Essential Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive calendar and scheduling management for attorneys, coordinate meetings, and handle day-to-day operational tasks to maximize team efficiency.

Professional & Technical Competencies
- Exceptional Legal Research & Writing: Demonstrated strong legal writing and drafting skills with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely.
- Mastery of Organization: A meticulous detail-orientation and proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and strict deadlines with outstanding organizational skills.
- Legal Expertise: Solid knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and document preparation standards.
- Tech Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and proven experience utilizing legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
