Position: Quality System Engineer

Location: Herndon, VA

Responsibilities
  1. Report to the Director of Management Systems, responsible for maintaining conformance of management systems to ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO27001, and ISO45001.
  2. Support additional initiatives as assigned by the VP of Global Operations, such as Risk Management, ESG, Business Continuity, and Performance improvement.
  3. Collaborate across departments to ensure business processes are created, implemented, maintained, and continuously improved.
  4. Conduct internal and external audits, including planning, execution, evaluation, and follow-up.
  5. Verify the integrity of management systems when changes occur.
  6. Organize and facilitate management system meetings and related activities.
  7. Oversee complaint handling, nonconformance control, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and risk assessments.
  8. Develop and maintain policies and procedures, providing guidance across sites.
  9. Support continuous improvement activities within the Integrated Management System (IMS).
  10. Collect and analyze company performance metrics.
  11. Assist in training employees on management systems and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  12. Participate in projects related to ConvergePoint, IMS SharePoint, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in a technical field, engineering preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  2. Minimum of 2 years' experience with Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO in manufacturing or corporate settings.
  3. Knowledge of process audit principles and practical experience in ISO standards.
  4. Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  5. Ability to analyze, plan, organize, and resolve problems effectively.
  6. Experience with internal or supplier audits is preferred.
  7. Proficiency in performance measurement tools, data analysis, and statistics.
  8. Exposure to Six Sigma or Lean methodologies is a plus.
  9. Proficient with MS Office, MS Project, Power BI, SharePoint, JIRA, and similar tools.
  10. Ability to work effectively in a global team environment and an affinity for technology is advantageous.
