About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled SEO Specialist to join the Workhorse Digital team as a remote member based in the Philippines. Reporting directly to Mihir (Technical Director), the successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering and optimising SEO strategies that enhance organic visibility and business outcomes for clients.
This is a technical, analytical, and creative position ideal for a proactive professional who thrives on solving problems, interpreting data, and finding ways to drive continuous improvement. You'll contribute ideas and insights to campaign strategies, but won't be responsible for finalising them. The focus is on execution, optimisation, and providing data-led insights to support performance growth. You'll must maintain strong communication and contextual awareness of how your work contributes to clients' KPIs.
This role is being recruited by Clarke Point, a premier Singapore-based agency dedicated to delivering global recruitment and staffing solutions, ) and is for a long-term, full-time Independent Contractor.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive keyword research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for growth.
- Implement on-page and technical SEO enhancements, including site structure, metadata, schema, and Core Web Vitals optimisation.
- Collaborate with content and development teams to optimise and improve SEO-friendly content and UX.
- Perform regular technical SEO audits to identify crawl, indexing, and performance issues.
- Analyse performance data across platforms (GA4, GSC, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.) to identify insights and opportunities.
- Apply and suggest technical SEO and optimisation strategies based on data analysis and client goals.
- Develop and execute white-hat link-building and off-page SEO initiatives.
- Monitor campaign performance, report insights, and flag potential issues or risks proactively.
- Stay updated with SEO trends, algorithm changes, and emerging technologies in digital marketing.
- Support the Technical Director with research, testing, and documentation of best practices.
- Experience working as an Independent Contractor for an Australian, American or similar client.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of SEO experience, preferably in a digital agency environment.
- Demonstrated ability to improve organic visibility and rankings through structured SEO strategies.
- Proficiency with tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Moz.
- Sound understanding of technical SEO, including site architecture, crawlability, and schema markup.
- Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, and Magento.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret KPIs and draw actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills for internal collaboration.
- Proven self-starter, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience with Local SEO, International SEO, and eCommerce SEO.
- Basic understanding of how SEO interacts with paid media (Google Ads, Meta Ads).
- Digital PR or link outreach experience.
- Familiarity with large-scale or multi-site digital environments.
- Certifications in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, or related fields.
- Analytical thinker – interprets data and draws logical, actionable conclusions.
- Proactive problem-solver – anticipates issues and takes initiative to address them.
- Detail-oriented – maintains precision in technical tasks and reporting.
- Collaborative communicator – works effectively with distributed teams.

Stable Internet Connection – Minimum speed of 25 Mbps (download/upload)
Wired (LAN) connection for stability is preferred
- Backup internet source (e.g., pocket Wi-Fi or mobile hotspot) is a plus
Clear Audio Equipment –
Noise-cancelling headset with built-in microphone
- Clear audio for calls and video meetings
- Working Webcam – Required for virtual meetings and team check-ins
Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) or access to a backup power source
Especially important for areas prone to power outages
- Up-to-date Antivirus or Security Software – To protect company and client data
This role is for a long-term, full-time Independent Contractor with the following additional perks:
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (37.5hrs/week) aligned with Australian business hours.
- Public Holidays as per the Victoria, Australia Calendar: Not required to work on public holidays and will be paid the base rate for ordinary hours on those days.
- Leave Loading: For Philippine holidays, you shall not be entitled to leave but shall instead receive leave loading equivalent to the applicable entitlement, as pay for working on a Philippine holiday.
- Philippine Regular Holidays: 200% pay
- Philippine Special Non-Working Holidays: Additional 30%
- Family Health Insurance Allowance: ₱2,500 allowance per month towards family health insurance granted upon successful completion of the trial engagement period.
- Annual Leave: 20 vacation days per year, granted upon successful completion of the trial engagement period. Accrued from the start of your contract and earned 1.67 days per half-month pay period (totalling 3.33 days per month). Unused annual leave will be carried over to the following year.
- Sick Leave: 10 days per year, available annually. Available from the start of your contract and earned 0.83 days per half-month pay period (totalling 1.67 days per month). Unused sick leave will be carried over to the next year.
- Christmas Shutdown: The office will shut down for a period of approximately two weeks over Christmas each year. During this shutdown, no work will be required, and you will be able to either use your annual leave, take leave in deficit if insufficient annual leave is available or take unpaid leave, based on your personal preference.
Workhorse Digital is based in Melbourne, Australia, thus the work hours will follow Melbourne time (GMT +10) with some flexibility.
