What is the job?

The IT Director is responsible for leading and overseeing technical operations to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient IT services for both clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

• Direct IT policies, SOPs, standards, and SLAs aligned to business goals

• Monitor ops metrics, report risks, and ensure scalability, uptime, and reliability

• Lead after-hours service and incident management; own escalations and ticket resolution

• Oversee after-hours monitoring/maintenance for Windows/M365, networking, virtualization (VMware/Azure), and backup/storage (Veeam/AWS)

• Build a high-performing team: hire, coach, develop Tier 1–2 skills; evaluate and address performance

• Partner with Performance/Execution teams; analyze incidents and drive continuous process/system improvements

Qualifications:

• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in IT infrastructure or technical operations management.

• Minimum of four (4) years in a leadership capacity overseeing cross-functional IT teams.

• Works across Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware, and networking; applies deep network/cloud/server administration

• Leads infrastructure/managed services; manages uptime, incident response, and after-hours support in a 24/7 environment

• Solves problems under time pressure; makes sound decisions; communicates clearly in English with technical and non-technical audiences
