Project Engineer

This position provides the coordinating and controlling function at the project site in the fields of Electrical for the proper and timely completion of the project within the established budget.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviews, interprets and implements Electrical contract documents, drawings and specifications to handle contractor's submittals, evaluation of work accomplishments.
• Supervises the progress of the Electrical works of the project and ensures that the Construction Team, contractors and suppliers comply with the CPMP & established standard operating procedures for the quality and timely delivery of the project.
• Conducts regular walk-throughs with the contractor to monitor and inspect the progress of the project's Electrical components to control and assure quality on all works and materials as well as its compliance with all government and private rules and regulations. Prepares necessary reports on Electrical components for the Project Manager and other entities requiring them.
• Monitors contractors' individual project schedules and critical milestone dates to ensure timely project completion.
• Attends and may conduct meetings, preferably weekly. Prepares and issues MOM and/or NOMA when presence is required in the meeting.
• Advises the Project Management (PM), Owner/Developer and the contractors of any constraints and critical factors that may cause delay in the project's completion and recommends appropriate solutions.
• Assists the QS in the preparation of monthly billings and claims for change to ensure timely resolution, approval and execution.
• Assist the PM Team in ensuring Good Housekeeping of the project site and ensures that the contractors and suppliers implement security and safety programs for the project.
• Conducts efficient Design oversight by managing the design processes, resources, and quality of the design projects and their activities to align with the owner's project goals.
• Performs other duty that may be assigned from time to time.
