Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Financial Transactions
-
Record all sales, expenses, and other financial transactions using POS system data and manual logs.

Preparation of daily cash collections (cash count) and reconcile with sales reports.

Process invoices, receipts, and payments to suppliers and service providers.

Laise with the bank of any deposit for confirmation, payment to suppliers, deposits and withdrawals.

Submit daily shortage or over report of cash and recommend for charging off shortage to cashiers on duty
2. Inventory and Cost Monitoring
-
Coordinate with inventory (weekly count) personnel to reconcile physical stock with accounting records.

Maintain accurate costing records for inventory using FIFO or weighted average methods.

Support periodic inventory audits and prepare related reports.
3. Tax and Compliance Support
-
Assist in the preparation of tax filings (e.g., VAT, income tax, withholding tax).

Ensure compliance with government regulatory requirements and support external audits.
4. Financial Reporting and Documentation
-
Prepare monthly financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow).

Maintain and organize all accounting documents (vouchers, receipts, ledgers).

Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-
At least 1–2 years of accounting experience, preferably in a retail or grocery setting.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or local equivalents).

Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and Philippine taxation (if local).

Attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational ability.
Preferred Skills

Experience with POS reconciliation and retail transaction systems.

Familiarity with inventory and stock accounting.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
