JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma / secondary school certificate (preferred).
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience driving heavy trucks or trailers.
  • Experience in long-haul / interstate / cross-border driving is an advantage.
  • Valid Driving License 1,2,3 & 8
  • Clean driving record (no major violations).
  • Defensive driving or safety certifications (preferred).
  • Time management and ability to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Physical strength to handle cargo-related tasks.
  • Good communication and record-keeping skills.
  • Honest, reliable, and professional in conduct.

Key Task Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload cargo (manual or using equipment), ensuring proper weight distribution.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, tires, lights, engine fluids).
  • Ensure that all cargo is secured properly to prevent damage or accidents.
  • Follow designated routes, schedules, and delivery instructions.
  • Maintain accurate records including logbooks, delivery notes, and fuel usage.
  • Comply with traffic rules, road safety standards, and company policies.
  • Report mechanical issues, delays, or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
  • Keep the truck clean, fueled, and in good working condition.
  • Follow HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards at all times.
  • Strictly follow the NO-TO-DRUGS-and-ALCOHOL policy of the company.
  • Make an appropriate written report immediately to the Trucking Supervisor of any incidents that require the attention of the Logistics Operations Department.
  • Perform duties as may be delegated by the Immediate Superior.
