We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Japanese Bilingual Java Developer to join the development team of our client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining Java-based applications while facilitating communication between Japanese-speaking stakeholders and the development team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain high-quality Java applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Translate technical and business requirements from Japanese to English (and vice versa) to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation in both English and Japanese.
  • Support project coordination by attending meetings with Japanese stakeholders and providing interpretation when necessary.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in software development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Java programming with 2–5 years of development experience.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • JLPT N2 (or higher) Japanese language proficiency required (both spoken and written).
  • Experience with frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, or similar is a plus.
  • Familiarity with database technologies (MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.

Working Schedule:

  • Regular working hours (Monday to Friday)
  • Willingness to adjust schedule for meetings with Japanese counterparts when needed
  • Hybrid/Onsite (Depend on the project)

Salary Range:

  • Competitive, based on experience and language proficiency
