DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures smooth daily operations of the department.
  • Monitors daily attendance of staff nurses.
  • Maintains cleanliness of the Nurse Station area.
  • Checks proper grooming of staff nurses.
  • Monitors the checklists involved in NS department, to make sure that all tasks are done religiously.
  • Signs and approves all documents needed for submission like absences, vacation leave, sick leave, emergency leave, and due reports.
  • Daily checking of fixed assets and makes sure that all medical supplies and forms needed are secured.
  • Coordinates doctor's concern/s to the administration.
  • Monitors departmental census.
  • Checks and compiles monthly reports submitted by the staff nurses
  • Submits monthly census of consultation and procedures to the administrative assistant.
  • Submits monthly census, departmental revenue, and summary of services to the Department Supervisor.
  • Daily checking of casualties and credit notes.
  • Provides monthly report on unbilled charges.
  • Provides monthly census of EECP patients.
  • Evaluates the performance of NS staff.
  • Makes progressive policy or new system for the improvement of the department.
  • Attends Departmental Meeting and other extracurricular activities.
