Nihongo Teacher

Job Summary:

The Nihongo Teacher is responsible for teaching the Japanese language and culture to students, employees, or trainees preparing for deployment to work in Japan. The role involves preparing lesson plans, conducting classes, evaluating student progress, and ensuring that learners acquire practical language skills aligned with Japanese standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct Nihongo classes (beginner to advanced levels) following the approved curriculum and learning objectives.
• Prepare and deliver lesson plans, instructional materials, and learning activities to facilitate effective teaching.
• Teach students Japanese grammar, vocabulary, conversation, writing (Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji), and cultural etiquette.
• Assess and monitor students' progress through quizzes, oral and written examinations, and performance evaluations.
• Provide individual guidance or tutoring to students who need additional support.
• Prepare students for JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) or employer-specific language assessments.
• Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment conducive to study.
• Participate in curriculum development, training workshops, and program improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with HR or management for training schedules, class reports, and student records.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the management or training head.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of any Bachelor's degree, preferably in Education, Linguistics, or related fields.
• Must be proficient in Japanese language (at least JLPT N3 level or higher, N2/N1 preferred).
• Preferrably with 1-5 years experience in teaching experience in Nihongo.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, organized, and passionate about teaching and Japanese culture.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php35, Php45,000.00 per month
