Job Description: Senior Android Developer (Kotlin)

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior-level Android Developer with 5+ years of professional experience to join our team. We need someone who can jump in and deliver results with minimal direction. This is not a training role. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and enhancing our client's Android applications, ensuring they are fast, stable, and intuitive. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers, QA testers, designers, and product managers. But you'll be expected to take ownership of features from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain advanced Android applications in Kotlin.

  • Deliver high-quality features for e-commerce flows, loyalty/rewards systems, push notifications, and gamified experiences.

  • Own the full development cycle—from technical planning and coding to testing and release.

  • Integrate apps with third-party APIs (e-commerce, POS, loyalty platforms).

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, crashes, and bugs quickly.

  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.

  • Participate in code reviews and help uphold high engineering standards.

  • Stay ahead of Android trends and propose improvements to keep apps competitive.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional Android development experience.

  • Deep proficiency with Kotlin and the Android SDK.

  • Proven track record of shipping Android apps used by thousands of users.

  • Experience integrating with REST APIs and working with third-party libraries.

  • Solid grasp of mobile architectures and patterns (MVVM, MVP, etc.).

  • Proficient in Git and collaborative workflows.

  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills—able to work independently without constant oversight.

  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering production-ready features.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in e-commerce or rewards/loyalty applications.

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

  • Exposure to iOS / Swift a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php75, Php85,000.00 per month
