TYPE: FULL TIME; INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Draftsperson proficient in Autodesk Inventor to create accurate 2D and 3D mechanical drawings for manufacturing and engineering projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical design principles, fabrication processes, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical components and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor.
• Interpret engineering sketches, technical drawings, and specifications to produce accurate mechanical designs.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to finalize design requirements.
• Produce BOMs (Bill of Materials), assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
• Revise and update drawings based on engineering changes or feedback.
• Ensure all drawings meet industry standards, company guidelines, and project specifications.
• Conduct design checks to verify dimensions, tolerances, and fitment of mechanical parts.
• Support prototyping and manufacturing by providing clear and precise technical drawings.
• Maintain an organized library of CAD files and drawing records.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Draftsperson or similar role.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and other CAD software (AutoCAD is a plus).
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) is desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with sheet metal design, assemblies, and fabrication techniques.
• Familiarity with project management and document control in engineering projects.
• Ability to suggest design improvements and optimize for manufacturability.

Work from Home Requirements (Must have before the start date)

• Internet Connection : Min of 30 mbps wired internet connection speed AND a backup internet connection (before start date)
• Computer/Laptop: The contractor must have a working computer with updated current programmes from home with Dual Monitors
• Noise Canceling Headset (Plantronics)
• Dedicated Home Office - Contractors are required to have a dedicated home office free from noise and distractions.
• Must be comfortable working with a Monitoring Software (for payroll and timekeeping purposes only)
• Webcam - Contractors must have a working webcam

Pay: From Php50,000.00 per month
