Role Overview

As a Selling Area Supervisor at Waltermart Supermarket, you will play a key role in driving category sales, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining high standards of customer service within your assigned section. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities on the sales floor, implementing merchandising strategies, and managing a team to meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience within your designated product area
  • Achieve sales targets and enhance category performance by maintaining product quality and minimizing shrinkage or spoilage
  • Ensure accurate and timely implementation of marketing plans, in-store promotions, and pricing strategies
  • Monitor inventory levels, ensure stock accuracy, and coordinate replenishment to maintain product availability
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate the performance of sales staff and merchandisers assigned to the product area
  • Ensure compliance with store policies, safety standards, and operational procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field
  • At least one (1) year of relevant experience in retail operations, store supervision, or the food and beverage industry
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Results-driven, detail-oriented, and customer-focused
