The Line Technician (LineTech) undertakes tasks such as Fiber Optic installation, configuration, testing, operation and maintenance of wired and wireless infrastructure for the provision of WiFi internet access.

Qualifications:

  • High School or College Graduate/ Vocational Diploma on Electrical Installation and Maintenance or equivalent
  • Must have a valid Driver's License & knows how to drive a Manual vehicle
  • Knowledgeable with Fiber Optic Maintenance & Splicing is a plus

Functions and Specific Responsibilities:

  • Performs maintenance check of fiber optic cables
  • Performs tasks such as climbing ladders & utility poles, fusion splicing of optical fibers, new splicing and repair splicing
  • Responsible in handling delicate fibers
  • Responsible in conducting periodic check of the fiber optic infrastructure
  • Responsible in troubleshooting problems, identifies and create solution
  • Performs technical testing of fiber optic cables in the field
  • Visually identifies fibers through labeling and color-coding

Job Type: Full-time

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Cebu City: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Lineman: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Fiber Optic: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Preferred)
