Manufacturing Buyer

Brief Statement of Duties / Work to be performed:

• Responsible for purchasing raw materials, components and services for TPC's operation process by sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices, and managing purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Analyze production schedules and inventory needs.
• Collaborating with related sections to resolve supply issues.

Core Responsibilities:

1. Sourcing – identify and select suppliers for raw materials, components, and services, considering factors on quality, technology, cost and delivery.

1. Negotiation – negotiate terms pricing and contracts with potential suppliers to reduce costs and ensure the best value for the company.

2. Inventory Management – monitors inventory levels, forecasting future needs based on production schedules, and place orders to maintain optimal stock without over stocking.

3. Order Management – process purchase orders, track order status, and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production deadlines.

4. Supplier relationship Management – build and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and develop relationships with new ones.

5. Quality Assurance – work with QA team to resolve any part of quality issues and ensure materials meet specifications.

6. Cross-functional collaboration – liaise with other sections to ensure that all material requirements are met and production runs smoothly.

7. Problem Resolution – address and resolve issues related to late deliveries, incorrect shipments, or pricing discrepancies with suppliers.

8. Data Analysis and reporting – anylze market trends and supplier performance and maintain accurate recores in procurement systems. Prepare reports for management on purchasing activities and potential cost-saving opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree: Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.

• Preferably with Procurement and Negotiation experience

• Certification is not needed, but an advantage
• With 1-2 years' experience in manufacturing industry is highly valued.
• With experience in procuring equipment and calibration services.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills to control cost and maintain supply chain efficiency is a must.
