Senior Consultant/Lead SAP APO and SAP IBP

Capgemini is seeking a highly experienced SAP Functional Consultant with 5–10 years of domain expertise in Supply Chain Planning, specializing in both SAP APO and SAP IBP modules. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tactical, strategic, and operational planning, with proven experience in system integration and business process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support Supply Chain Planning initiatives including Material Planning, Production Planning, Supply Planning, and S&OP.
  • Configure and customize SAP APO modules: SNP, PPDS, and GATP, with hands-on experience in Core Interface (CIF).
  • Implement and support SAP IBP modules, particularly Demand Planning and S&OP, including configuration of Attributes, Master Data, Key Figures, Forecast Profiles, Alerts, and Analytics Dashboards.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and select appropriate solutions aligned with strategic goals.
  • Integrate planning tools with ECC/S4HANA, ensuring seamless data flow and process alignment.
  • Perform data integration, including flat file uploads, data validation, and access management (role creation for IBP users).
  • Provide end-user training and create planning templates to enhance system understanding and adoption.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with stakeholders across varying levels of experience.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, presentation, and customer engagement skills.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5–10 years of experience in SAP APO and/or SAP IBP implementations and support.
  • Deep understanding of APO to IBP translation and planning process flows.
  • Experience in wholesale distribution environments is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead teams in MRP planning against projected or actual return and repair flows.
  • Strong documentation and validation skills for business and IT specifications.
  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA is an advantage.
