Job Description

Position Title: Accounting Staff

Department: Finance / Accounting

Reports To: Accounting Supervisor / Finance Manager

Location: Binondo

Job Summary

The Accounting Staff is responsible for performing day-to-day accounting operations to ensure accurate recording, reporting, and maintenance of financial transactions. He/She shall assist in the preparation of financial statements, government compliance reports, and other financial records in accordance with company policies and Philippine accounting standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions into the company's accounting system.
  • Prepare and process vouchers, invoices, official receipts, and other financial documents.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor company expenses and prepare expense reports.
  • Assist in bank reconciliation and monitoring of cash flow.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records for easy retrieval.
  • Perform other accounting-related tasks as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or a related field.
  • Preferably with at least 1 year of relevant work experience (fresh graduates may be considered).
  • Knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and taxation laws.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word) and familiarity with accounting systems/software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
