  • Coordinate closely on a daily basis or as frequently as possible with the production manager and planning section for the daily, weekly, (or monthly) production target/machine plan/schedule for print/lam section.

  • Based on the production/machine schedule, make necessary arrangement for manpower/personnel planning. Prepare the manpower schedule and take the approval of the QA/QC Manager. Send copies to HR section and production department. Post the approved manpower schedule in the bulletin board.

  • Responsible in LSD color guide issuance to be used in ink preparation and printing run based on internal product specification "IPS."

  • Issues ink formulation, solvents, and solvent-based adhesives based on production/machine schedule, printing job ticket, and IPS.

  • Supervise and assist the ink section team before and during ink and adhesive mixing and adjustment processes.

  • Prepare all forms, stickers, label, tags use in ink section and make ready for distribution to the assistant ink chemist.

  • Check and monitor ink and adhesive consumption per "job ticket", "production/machine schedule", and "job order" (i.e., quantity consumed versus planned/allocated quantity).

  • Collect and check inks, solvents and adhesive mixing reports and submit to QA responsible in costing.

  • Ensure that all inks, solvents and adhesives that are "on-hold", "with concerns", "rejected", or "for disposition", were being taken cared of after receiving quality concerns report from the print/lam supervisor, printing machine operators, warehouse section and QA/QC department. All products with concerns should be disposed of not more two (2) days in the "quarantine area."

  • Check all excess inks, solvents, and adhesive materials for transfer to other plant (main & annex), or warehouse section.

  • To ensure that preparation of all documents for the transfer of inks, solvents, and adhesives to other plant (main & annex) were being arranged and the transfer is executed by the lead ink man, print/lam supervisor and RM/WIP controller.

  • Collect, evaluate, and analyse daily reports coming from the ink section personnel.

  • Check and monitor daily attendance record of all ink section personnel, prepare the attendance summary and submit the report to QA/QC manager, on weekly & monthly basis, for evaluation.

  • Assess and evaluate all production personnel for skills & attitudes training program and recommendation for promotions and salary increases/incentives. Submit the summary of recommendations to the QA/QC manager for proper courses of action.

  • Responsible in solvents, inks and color matching/development.

  • Responsible in ink qualification in close coordination with purchasing and R&D section.

  • Color match and approve new colors for new items/suppliers and/or as requested by purchasing section and sales & marketing department.

  • Perform ink costing pertaining to new colors for development.

  • Supervising the assistant ink chemist in ink, solvent and adhesive incoming material inspection in close coordination with QA/QC department.

  • Responsible in ink preparation/formulation and color matching of new items for spot approval and proofing/run jobs.

  • Work hand-in-hand with QA/QC manager and QA/QC team during printing spot approval and color proofing run.

  • Supervising the assistant ink chemist in preparing printed samples of approved LSD color guide.

  • Update new and old ink formulation whenever needed and necessary.

  • Responsible in training new or old personnel (assistant/ink chemist, lead ink man, ink man and solvent/adhesive man).

  • Control and monitor the implementation of ink section's systems & procedures and to execute all the programs, policies and short-term/long-term strategic departmental plan/target/objectives of the QA/QC department under the leadership of the QA/QC manager.

  • To control and contain the discipline of every personnel in ink section effective and strict implementation and enforcement of company rules and regulations, ISO QMS, 5S, and GMP. To recommend suspensions or dismissals of erring employees with the approval of production manager and HR section.

  • Receive and fill-up "notice of quality deviation" report (NQD) upon investigation of quality non-conformance together with the print/lam supervisor and production manager.

  • Over-all in-charge of ink section's occupational health and safety, housekeeping and cleanliness with close coordination with the QA/QC manager and maintenance department. Make weekly and monthly GMP audits and submit to QA/QC Manager the evaluation and recommendations for proper courses of actions.

  • Adheres to the company rules & regulations and other policies & objectives related to quality and GMP.
