Gown Sewer

Position Overview

We are looking for a skilled gown sewer who can expertly draft patterns and sew formal gowns. The role is paid on a per-piece basis, making it ideal for those seeking flexible, commission-based work.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft patterns tailored to gown designs and measurements.
• Cut fabric accurately according to patterns and specifications.
• Sew seams, attach linings, and apply finishing touches such as hems and closures.
• Ensure precision in fit, construction, and overall garment quality.
• Maintain efficient workflow for timely per-piece delivery.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in pattern making (drafting, adjusting) and gown sewing.
• Proficiency with sewing machines (including industrial, overlock/serger types) and hand sewing.
• Excellent attention to detail, hand dexterity, and time management.
• Familiarity with different fabric behaviors and garment fit expectations.
• Basic experience with trimming, pressing, and garment finishing techniques is a plus.
