Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service & Interaction:

  • Greet all guests warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression.

  • Answer guest questions regarding hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Respond to guest requests and complaints in a timely, polite, and effective manner, and escalate issues to management when necessary.
  • Serve as a resource for guests, providing recommendations for restaurants, transportation, and activities in the area.
  • Check-in and Check-out:

  • Perform all check-in and check-out procedures efficiently and accurately.

  • Verify guest information, process payments, and issue room keys.
  • Review and settle guest accounts, ensuring all charges are correct.
  • Handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment with accuracy.
  • Reservations & Administration:

  • Manage online and phone reservations, including booking, changing, and canceling appointments.

  • Maintain a current inventory of room availability and accurately assign rooms based on guest preferences and hotel needs.
  • Communicate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure rooms are clean, tidy, and ready for new guests.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential guest records and transaction reports.
  • Perform administrative and clerical tasks such as sorting mail, answering phone calls, and managing emails.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is preferred.

  • Familiarity with hotel reservations software (e.g., Property Management Systems) is a significant advantage.
  • Soft Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • A calm and professional demeanor, especially when handling difficult or stressful situations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, customer-focused attitude.
  • The ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A friendly, welcoming, and hospitable personality.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Other Requirements:

  • Proficiency with computer software, including Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A neat and professional appearance is often required.
  • Fluency in a second language is often a plus, particularly in international or tourist-heavy locations.
