Exin Therapeutics is a San Francisco–based biotech company building its experimental hub in Manila. We are developing therapies to restore balance in brain circuits disrupted in neurological and psychiatric disorders, including epilepsy, and Parkinson's disease. We aim to transform the treatment landscape for diseases of the central nervous system.
Our Manila lab will be the cornerstone of Exin's experimental efforts, enabling large-scale in vivo neuroscience and data generation to power our discovery platform. We're hiring a preclinical veterinary neurosurgeon to lead survival surgeries and perioperative care in rodents, partnering closely to the Physiology team to deliver robust, reproducible neuroscience experiments.
Role & Responsibilities
You will:
- Perform rodent survival surgeries with aseptic technique and oversee perioperative care.
- Maintain and calibrate surgical equipment, manage surgical inventory and sterility workflows.
- Coordinate with scientists on experimental timelines, target coordinates, and QC criteria; collaborate with the engineers to integrate hardware.
Qualifications
Required (any one profile is acceptable):
- Veterinarian, Veterinary Technician, or experienced animal surgeon/technologist.
- Good communication skills in English
Preferred:
- Basic lab skills.
- Exposure to neuroscience experiments.
- Comfort in a fast-paced startup: proactive, resourceful, hands-on.
