Core duties and responsibilities

  • Receiving and Processing:

Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage, compare contents to purchase orders, and log them into the inventory system.
- Order Fulfillment:

Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipping, ensuring items are handled carefully and efficiently to avoid damage and delays.
- Inventory Management:

Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure stock levels are accurate. Update inventory records using a warehouse management system (WMS) or other logs.
- Storage and Organization:

Store incoming goods in their designated locations, arrange items on racks or pallets according to inventory methods like FIFO (First-In, First-Out), and maintain an organized and accessible warehouse.
- Equipment Operation:

Safely operate material-handling equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks to move, load, and unload products. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment.
- Warehouse Maintenance:

Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards by performing tasks like sweeping and mopping.
- Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing products and shipments. Report any discrepancies or damaged products to a supervisor.
