Industrial Electrician – Job Description

An Industrial Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and industrial equipment in factories, construction sites, and other industrial settings. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to safety procedures, and the ability to work with high-voltage systems and complex machinery.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Electrical Installation and Maintenance

  • Install, inspect, and maintain electrical wiring, panels, motors, and control systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance on industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance.

2. Troubleshooting and Repair

  • Diagnose electrical issues using testing devices and technical diagrams.
  • Repair faulty wiring, equipment, and electrical components promptly to minimize downtime.

3. Equipment & System Upkeep

  • Maintain and repair industrial machines such as motors, transformers, generators, and PLC-controlled systems.
  • Assist in upgrading electrical systems and equipment as needed.

4. Compliance & Safety

  • Follow all electrical codes, safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Ensure proper lockout/tagout procedures are applied during repairs.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare maintenance logs, repair reports, and incident documentation.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other team members for equipment concerns.

Qualifications:
  • TESDA NC II or NC III in Electrical Installation and Maintenance, or equivalent.
  • Experience in industrial, construction, or manufacturing electrical work.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to use electrical testing tools and mechanical/hand tools.
  • Willingness to work at project sites and shifting schedules when required.
  • Physically fit and able to work in industrial environments.
