The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of food products to customers, distributors, and retail outlets. This role ensures proper handling, transportation, and documentation of goods while complying with company policies and road safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Delivery & Route Management

  • Safely transport and deliver food products to customers, warehouses, and retail stores.
  • Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes and schedules.
  • Ensure on-time and accurate deliveries while minimizing delays.

2. Vehicle Maintenance & Safety Compliance

  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Report any vehicle issues, breakdowns, or required repairs immediately.
  • Follow road safety laws, traffic rules, and company delivery policies.

3. Loading, Unloading & Product Handling

  • Assist in loading and unloading food products safely to prevent damage.
  • Verify and check delivery orders, invoices, and product quantity before dispatch.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of perishable goods during transit.

4. Documentation & Customer Interaction

  • Secure delivery receipts, invoices, and proof of delivery documents.
  • Collect payments (if applicable) and submit them to the finance department.
  • Maintain professional and courteous communication with customers.

5. Compliance & Reporting

  • Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and quality standards during transportation.
  • Report any delivery issues, customer complaints, or delays to the supervisor.
  • Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery schedules.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

License:

  • Valid professional driver's license (Restriction 1,2,3 or higher)

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience as a delivery driver, preferably in food manufacturing or FMCG.

Skills:

  • Good knowledge of local roads, traffic regulations, and delivery routes.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy loads if necessary.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, or holidays if needed.
