A. Gate and Entry Control
-Supervise vehicle disinfection procedures such as wheel baths, spraying systems, and fogging stations.
-Ensure proper documentation for all incoming deliveries (feeds, live pigs, supplies).
-Monitor visitor entry protocols: shower-in/shower-out, PPE usage, and downtime verification.
B. Personnel Biosecurity
-Inspect shower rooms, changing areas, boot dips, and PPE availability.
-Conduct random compliance checks on personnel movement, especially adherence to downtime rules and inter-farm restrictions.
C. Internal Farm Biosecurity
-Monitor footbaths, disinfectant concentrations, sanitation routines, carcass handling, and pest control.
-Ensure proper movement protocols for personnel, tools, and equipment across farm sections.
D. Contract Growing Site Biosecurity
-Perform scheduled biosecurity audits.
-Check compliance with structural integrity, visitor logs, quarantine procedures, and sanitation practices.
-Provide monthly audit reports with corrective action recommendations.
E. Feedmill Biosecurity
-Oversee truck entry, sanitation, and loading protocols.
-Ensure supplier compliance with raw material and truck disinfection procedures.
-Monitor pest control logs and cross-contamination prevention.
F. Disease Prevention and Control
-Assist in early detection systems and disease monitoring.
-Participate in sentineling, testing routines, and depop–repop procedures.
-Activate and enforce red-zone protocols during outbreaks.
G. Training and Orientation
-Conduct biosecurity training for employees, contract growers, drivers, suppliers, and visitors.
-Ensure staff are updated on all new protocols and procedures.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Experience specifically in swine/pig farming operations is required for this position.
