QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

  • Education : Must be at least an elementary graduate (can read and write Tagalog and English)
  • Experience : At least five (5) years of relevant experience
  • Training : None required
  • Eligibility : Valid Professional Driver's License with restriction code 1,2,3 or A, A1, B, B1, B2, C & D
  • Skills: Skilled driver, and knowledge in basic mechanical and electrical repair of vehicles is an advantage but not required

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Statement of Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operates NPDC motor vehicles and equipment in safely transporting NPDC personnel, various products, materials, properties, and supplies to and from specified locations in a timely manner.
  • Submits reports on fuel and oil consumption and distance travelled.
  • Ensures that the motor vehicles of the agency are always fueled and ready for use.
  • Makes minor mechanical repairs on equipment of vehicles.
  • Submits properly accomplished trip tickets.
  • Prepares requirements on the use of official vehicle.
  • Performs messengerial tasks, when requested.
  • Regularly cleans the vehicle under his responsibility; and see to it that the vehicle is safe during the travel and end of tour of duty.
  • Checks and monitors the status and condition of the vehicle under responsibility and initiates a written report or request if it needs maintenance and repair.
  • Performs such other related duties that may be assigned by the chief of the division.
