Purpose of the Position:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor or Superintendent, the Auto Aircon Technician is accountable and responsible for the repair and maintenance of air conditioning unit installed to every heavy equipment, support equipment, trucks, light vehicles etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct trouble shooting and repair of airconditioning system of heavy equipment, support equipment, trucks, light vehicles as instructed by the immediate superior in coordination with the H.E. Coordinator.

  2. Ensure that all air-conditioning units installed are properly maintained and in good working conditions.

  3. Attend to workshop and field services call immediately whenever air conditioning unit is out of service as relayed by operators and drivers.

  4. Identify and request parts and materials needed to replace defective air conditioning parts in coordination with the Maintenance Planner.

  5. Assist the Auto Electrician in the electrical minor repair and troubleshooting as required.

  6. Conduct charging of appropriate environment friendly Freon required for the airconditioning unit.

  7. Understand and trouble shoot the problem of airconditioning system and cycle of automotive and heavy equipment installation such as compressor, evaporator, condenser etc.

  8. Adhere to the company safety and environment policy and procedure including disposal of used airconditioning parts.

  9. Report to the immediate superior on the status of airconditioning repair and follow-up pending parts required.

  10. Perform other related duties as assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

1. High school or Vocational/Technical course in automotive air conditioning graduate would be an advantage; Graduate preferably vocational graduate in Auto Electrician or Industrial Electrician.

  1. At least one (1) year related working experience in heavy equipment, trucking or automotive industry

  2. NC II certificate in auto airconditioning desirable.

  3. Must be willing to work in Sison, Pangasinan.
