The Medical City (TMC) is searching for an experienced Head of Supply Chain to be part of the team that leads the organization to the next level. This role is critical in overseeing and optimizing the procurement, distribution, and inventory management of medical supplies and pharmaceuticals. The role ensures the timely availability of essential materials when needed, while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance with regulatory standards.

This role reports directly to the Chief Finance Officer. What's The Role

All About? Job responsibilities include, but is not limited to: Supply Chain Management

  • oversee the supply chain process from procurement / ordering to distribution & inventory management.

Inventory Management

  • develop & implement inventory management strategies to minimize stockouts or overstock situations.

Budgeting and Cost Control

  • monitor and control supply chain expenses to ensure the hospital operates within budget.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight

  • ensure that all processes comply with hospital regulations, health and safety standards, and relevant laws.

Technology Integration and Data Analytics

  • oversee the use of supply chain management software and technology to streamline operations, track inventory, and optimize procurement.

Crisis Management and Risk Mitigation

  • develop strategies for managing supply chain disruptions, such as shortages, natural disasters, or pandemics.

Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility

  • incorporate sustainable practices into the supply chain, such as reducing waste and using environmentally friendly products.

Who Are We Looking

For? An effective Head of Supply Chain must possess the following skills: Demand Forecasting & Planning – Predicting stock levels to prevent shortages or excess inventory. Stock Control & Optimization – Implementing inventory strategies for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Financial Planning & Cost Reduction – Monitoring supply chain expenses to ensure cost-efficiency. Budgeting & Forecasting – Allocating resources effectively and controlling expenditures. Knowledge of Healthcare Regulations – Ensuring adherence to hospital policies, safety standards, and legal requirements.

Risk & Quality Management – Identifying potential compliance risks and maintaining safety protocols. ERP & Supply Chain Software Proficiency – Managing hospital inventory and procurement systems. Data Analytics & Reporting – Using insights to improve supply chain efficiency and performance.

Automation & Process Improvement – Implementing technology-driven solutions for workflow enhancement. Ideally, a candidate must have a degree in either Business, Management, and Supply Chain Management and have at least 12 years of experience in a leadership role under Supply Chain Management or a related function. #J-18808-Ljbffr
