Gaba Telepsychiatry is seeking a highly committed, full-time Pharmacist Supervisor to join our clinical team. This crucial role ensures the safe, effective, and compliant use of medications within a telepsychiatry setting, collaborating closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to optimize patient mental health outcomes.

This position is ideal for an individual who excels in teamwork, collaboration, and independent remote work, maintaining high availability during scheduled shifts.

Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical Medication Management & Review

  2. Conduct comprehensive reviews of patient medical histories and medication profiles, assessing appropriateness, interactions, adherence, and potential side effects.

  3. Collaborate directly with telepsychiatry providers to effectively establish, adjust, and monitor complex psychiatric medication regimens.
  4. Serve as the primary clinical resource for the team, providing up-to-date, evidence-based information on psychiatric pharmacotherapy and emerging developments.

  5. Monitor medication adherence and compliance to optimize long-term treatment outcomes.

  6. Administrative & Operational Support

  7. Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations. Process preauthorizations and complete necessary claim forms.

  8. Liaise with US-based pharmacists as needed to resolve complex pharmacy-related issues.

  9. Assist with new patient registration, including collecting detailed medical and medication history. Handle the collection of patient payments when necessary.

  10. Patient Education, Counselling & Engagement

  11. Provide clear, empathetic, and patient-centred counselling on the proper use, potential risks, and side effects of psychiatric medications.

  12. Educate patients to ensure informed consent and shared decision-making regarding their treatment plan.

  13. Address patient questions and concerns, fostering therapeutic trust and enhancing overall treatment adherence.

  14. Compliance, Quality & Safety

  15. Implement strategies to promote medication safety and reduce the risk of medication-related incidents.

  16. Stay informed on the latest advancements in psychiatric pharmacotherapy through continuous professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
  • Demonstrated experience (ideally 5+ years) in psychiatric pharmacotherapy and medication management.
  • Strong understanding of mental health conditions, psychopharmacology, and evidence-based treatment approaches.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the telepsychiatry team and patients.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently within a remote setting.
  • Commitment to patient-centred care and a passion for enhancing mental health services through telepsychiatry.

  • Comfortable working from 9 AM ET to 6 PM ET.

  • Location: Remote/Online.

  • Schedule: Full-time commitment required. You are expected to be highly available for team meetings and at your desk for the majority of the shift, fostering a collaborative, integrated team environment.
