The position is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of power projects, with a focus on mechanical systems and equipment used in thermal power generation applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise and/or a solid understanding of power plant system components, relevant codes and standards, design calculations, technical specifications, and industry-accepted design practices. A demonstrated ability to solve complex engineering problems and collaborate effectively across departments is essential to ensure successful project execution. Proficiency in utilizing engineering tools and software is required to ensure accurate data collection and to produce detailed, high-quality reports.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop plant design concepts, perform heat rate and efficiency calculations, and evaluate site feasibility.
  • Prepare technical specifications, Terms of Reference (TOR) and review Operations and Maintenance (O&M) planning and costing.
  • Analyze Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) technical proposals, validate technical data, and estimate mechanical system costs.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage project schedules and budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with international and local standards and regulations.
  • Integrate sustainable technologies and support research initiatives.
  • Conduct site visits for maintenance data gathering and performance evaluation.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and collaborate across project teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Licensed Mechanical Engineer (PRC) is preferred.
  • With a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in mechanical design, construction, and maintenance within the power generation and energy sector.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through all phases of project execution—from conceptual design and feasibility studies to commissioning and operational support.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing complex mechanical systems and infrastructure projects including thermal projects.
  • Experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, hydroelectric and renewable energy facilities is a plus.
