What's The Role All About?
The Roving Collector is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate collection of payments from clients across assigned areas. This role plays a vital part in maintaining healthy cash flow and strong client relationships by visiting customers, issuing receipts, and remitting collected funds promptly.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Visiting clients regularly to collect payments in cash, check, or other approved forms.
- Issuing official receipts and ensuring all transactions are properly documented.
- Remitting collected funds to the head office or designated branch within the required time frame.
- Monitoring client accounts, identifying overdue balances, and coordinating follow-ups with the Collections Department.
- Conducting field verification of client details as needed.
- Assisting in account reconciliation and maintaining accurate collection reports.
- Coordinating with branch staff and management to resolve collection-related issues.
- Upholding confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism in all client interactions.

- Communication Skills: Ability to coordinate effectively with clients and internal departments regarding payments and account concerns.
- Adaptability: Willingness to travel to different branches or assigned areas as needed.
- Analytical Thinking: Skill in identifying payment discrepancies and reporting potential issues promptly.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work harmoniously with colleagues and support collection initiatives across multiple locations.
Ideally, a candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Financial Management, or any related course, with an experience in collections, fieldwork, or a similar role.
