Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical System Maintenance:

Oversee and maintain all electrical equipment and systems on board, including motors, switchboards, generators, and control systems.
- Electronic Equipment Management:

Handle the upkeep of navigation, communication, and automation systems to ensure they function correctly.
- Troubleshooting and Repair:

Diagnose and repair faults in electrical and electronic systems to prevent operational disruptions and ensure the safety of the ship and its crew.
- Preventative Maintenance:

Implement and follow planned maintenance schedules for electrical equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Emergency Response:

Provide immediate technical support during emergencies, such as power outages or equipment failures, to resolve issues quickly and safely.
- Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all electrical systems and operations comply with relevant safety and environmental regulations.
- Collaboration:

Work closely with other engineering and deck officers to resolve technical issues and ensure the overall efficient operation of the ship.
- Documentation:

Maintain accurate logs and records of all maintenance and repair activities.
